Currently, I am an associate professor at Hokkaido University of Education in Kushiro, Japan. My research interests broadly include aquatic ecology, evolution, and conservation; I am specifically interested in  the significance of hydrological connectivity in stream biota, ecology in intermittent streams, and evolutionary history and ecology of parasitic isopods.
